About REY

Formed in 2017 by An Cornillie (vocals), Bart Barbier (guitar/vocals), and Erik Geeraerts (bass), REY writes and performs original songs, carrying on the heritage of the great singer-songwriter tradition. Their acoustic and electric pop music is based on a solid foundation and seasoned with hints of blues, rock, vintage soul, and folk music.

Live Performances

Expect nothing less than a solid performance of musical craftsmanship and entertainment when you see REY live. On March 31, 2018, they went public with the launch of their version of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm on Fire," performing on different stages and festivals throughout the year.

Achievements

In early 2019, REY was a semi-finalist in Joe FM's "Sterren op de Werkvloer" contest. However, due to personal reasons, the band had to take a break for the rest of the year.

Comeback and Recent Activities

In early 2020, REY announced their return and released the double single "Ray of Light"/"Choices" on March 20. Despite the worldwide pandemic limiting live performances in 2020 and 2021, the band made a significant effort and played an amazing show at cc De Dijk in Brugge.

2022 Milestones

In early 2022, REY was selected as a finalist in the KIKH Music Rally, judged on their songwriting, lyrics, and performance. They have plans to record and release their first complete album in 2022.
